John Kane, CPA
John has over 20 years of professional experience, including three years in the banking industry, after graduating from Anderson College (now Anderson University) in 1984. While at Anderson University, John majored in Accounting and Sports Medicine. John received his CPA certificate in 1989, while working for a local CPA firm.
His desire to serve the CPA profession is evident by his involvement. He has been appointed by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels as a member of the Indiana Board of Accountancy. John has been active in the Indiana CPA Society, where he served as a Vice Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of the Finance Committee, and Chair of the Public Interest Task Force. He is also a member of the Leadership Cabinet (a member advisory group to the Society directors), he has served on various committees of the Society, and served for three years on the AICPA Governing Council, as an elected member of the Indiana CPA Society. John is a graduate of the Leadership Academy of Madison County. John has served on various community boards of directors, including serving as president of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra board and treasurer of the Anderson Rotary Club.
In addition to John's professional experience, he had an opportunity to work with a professional football franchise of the NFL for two preseasons while in college utilizing his Sports Medicine knowledge. So that he could continue his love of football, John officiates high school and college football. He also finds time to play golf. John is father of three (a daughter and two sons) and husband to Susan, who works at Pendleton Heights High School (South Madison School Corporation).

Linda Radaker, CPA
Linda lives in Noblesville with her husband Kevin, who is Professor of English and Chair of the English department at Anderson University, and their two sons, Paul and Luke. They attend Fall Creek Wesleyan Church in Fishers.
Linda currently serves as treasurer for Christmas in Action Hamilton County, a nonprofit organization that provides needed home repairs and improvements for elderly and disabled homeowners. In addition, she serves as treasurer on the board of directors for her neighborhood homeowner's association, and she assists the treasurer of the East Central Indiana Chapter of the Autism Society of America. She has served in the past as treasurer of the Anderson Symphony Orchestra board. In her spare time, she enjoys computers, reading, gardening, and home improvement projects.
After graduating magna cum laude from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1988 with a degree in accounting, Linda received her CPA certificate in 1991. From 1988 to 1998, she worked for CPA firms in Indianapolis and Anderson before deciding to work on her own while her boys were in their early years of schooling. She joined J.P. Kane & Co. in 2003.

Dick May, CPA
Dick was born and raised in Anderson. He is a 1961 graduate of Anderson High School and holds two degrees from Indiana University (1965- B.S. Accounting and 1967, M.B.A.). He started his career with a national CPA firm in Indianapolis , IN and has practiced in Anderson for the last forty years. A number of businesses he serves are second-generation clients.
Dick is a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and the Indiana CPA Society. He has been the treasurer of the Anderson Noon Kiwanis Club and currently serves on the board of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Madison County.
He is a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church. He has been married to Paula, his wife, for forty years. Paula retired from Alexandria Community Schools. Together, they have two grown children: Megan Philip ( St. Louis MO ) and Lynsie Campbell, now a R.N. in Bedford, IN.

Nancy Sowers, CPA
Nancy has a varied history: she is an Indiana University graduate (1976) with a B.S. in Molecular Biology, and she spent 15 years working in medical-technical positions. She was registered nationally as a Medical Technologist in 1977. Nancy later went back to school to get her accounting degree, and she graduated from Anderson University in 1989 with a B.A. in accounting (summa cum laude). She spent ten years working several positions in the corporate world and then joined Dick May in public accounting in September 1998. She is a member of the AICPA and Indiana CPA Society. She has also been certified as a QuickBooks Professional Advisor since 1999.
She has been married to Richard Sowers, the Anderson Symphony guy, since 1977. She has three children; Ben, Matthew, and Mary.
She is active in her church, serving as treasurer and on multiple committees at Our Blessed Savior Lutheran Church in Alexandria. She is a member of Kiwanis of West Anderson and has recently been elected to serve as president of the Madison County Chapter of Thrivent Financial. She is also active with the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, serving on the Women in Business committee. When Nancy has a few spare minutes, she enjoys needlework, jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
Shelly McCoy, Director of
First Impressions
Shelly is an Anderson native and previously worked with a local CPA firm from 1987 to 1993, before becoming a stay-at-home mom with her two boys, Evan and Austin. She joined the team in 2002, using her knowledge gained from her previous work experience to help in the front desk reception and in clerical and bookkeeping duties.
Shelly is married to Vaughn, the Database Administrator for Anderson Community Schools. Their family is active in scouting with Boy Scout Troop 240. They share a home with two dogs, and a cat, two saltwater fish aquariums, and several Madagascar Hissing cockroaches.
